Benjy's Modern American Experience
I met up with a wine friend, Ty of Your Glass or Mine Wine Blog at Benjy's in Rice Village today. We sat on the outdoor patio; it was a beautiful day in Houston! Benjy's has an awesome happy hour menu, which extends throughout the weekend. I love Benjy's decor, service and farm to table menu. Everything is so fresh and the menu changes sometimes, keeping it exciting as well.
Appetizers:
Sauteed Local Gulf Shrimp with mango salsa, lime butter and toasted brioche.
Roasted cauliflower with herb tahini, parmesan, pistachios and nori chips.
Paired with a glass (or two) of Rose.

Main Course:
A good ole burger made to order! Need I say anything more? It was delicious, fresh and cooked perfectly. I also had a side of brussel sprouts because Benjy's brussel sprouts are truly amazing and some of the best I have had. The entire meal was so flavorful and paired perfectly with my Merlot.

Dessert:
Sorbet and Cookies
I am not a huge dessert fan but I must say, these cookies along with the watermelon sorbet was a nice end to a delicious meal. The waiter suggested this and I see why!
